In the late summer of 2012, Gensler’s Northwest design directors group took a tour of the Bullitt Center, by Miller Hull Architects, during its construction. We marveled at the use of timber frame, typical of Seattle before the 1920s. We also admired the below-grade spaces for the composting toilets—the Bullitt Center is one of the first multi-story buildings in the world to use composting toilets. Read more
