It has come to our attention that award-winning structures located in southern California may be demolished. Orange Coast Community College, home of Garrett Eckbo’s landscape architecture and the Richard Neutra and Robert Alexander-designed structures are slated to be no longer in the near future, thanks to a master plan finalized in June 2014. However, the issues with the buildings could be repurposed and repaired. If you are an advocate for the latter and would like to assist in seeing them restored and repurposed rather than demolished, there are instructions at the end of this article from The Cultural Landscape Foundation.
