Several fast-moving fires continue to move throughout Southern California and are being pushed by heavy Santa Ana winds. As of today, more than 20,000 homes are threatened and approximately 150,000 acres have been burned by 7 fires four affected counties. Nearly 200,000 residents have been ordered for emergency evacuations and are being warned that dangerous fire conditions are expected to continue for the next several days. Governor Jerry Brown has issued a State of Emergency in the counties of Santa Barbara, Dan Diego, Ventura, and Los Angeles.
Just on the heels of the significant Sonoma County fires, so many were ordered to flee with a moment’s notice, leaving many of their possessions behind. In the midst of the devastation and throughout recovery, the AIACC is working with California components to offer comfort and support and disseminate useful information to chapters and its members. The situation is rapidly evolving and the threat isn’t over. And we have heard from those wanting to help, so we are letting you know you can take action right now by making a monetary donation to the California Wildfire Relief Fund. Each donation will help the chapters with their immediate needs and rebuild efforts.
Will you join the AIACC and your associates throughout California in making charitable and tax deductible monetary donation to the California Fire Relief Fund?
