In January, the American Institute of Architects, California Council, issued a letter of support to AIA Arizona because we want to join a coalition that is interested in rule-based, transparent and efficient management of the movement of people, goods, and investment between Mexico and the United States. The AIACC is concerned with the environmental impacts constructing this wall could have, and is not focused on this topic as a political issue. 2018 AIACC President, Britt Lindberg, AIA said in an interview for the AZ Central, “”We’ve heard opinions and input from both sides and we do remain nonpolitical in our position,” she said. “It’s really asking political leaders who make the decision to ensure that they are considering all impacts.”  Click here to read the letter of support.

The AIACC represents the interests of more than 11,000 architects and allied professionals in California. Founded in 1944, The AIACC's mission supports architects in their endeavors to improve the quality of life for all Californians by creating more livable communities, sustainable designs and quality work environments. Today, The AIACC is the largest component of the National AIA organization.
