Join Globally and Nationally Renowned Architects
Internationally acclaimed architects Odile Decq of France, Marcio Kogan, Hon. FAIA of Brazil and Kengo Kuma, Hon. FAIA of Japan join a stellar group of North American designers for Monterey Design Conference 2013.
The conference offers participants three days of talks by–and relaxed conversations with– internationally and nationally significant architects.
MDC’s location—a beach in California—generates a stunning environment and a rare opportunity to initiate relaxed conversations with such names all in one setting.
This year’s speakers also include, AIA National’s 2012 Firm Award recipient Jennifer Yoos, AIA, as well as Arkansas’ Marlon Blackwell, FAIA, New York’s Thomas Phifer, FAIA, California’s Jack MacAllister, FAIA, and Greg Otto of Buro Happold. Thom Mayne, FAIA, participates as part of a special presentation to honor his 2013 AIA National Gold Medal award.
Founded in 1979, the Monterey Design conference has become the “Renaissance Weekend” for architects. Held in Pacific Grove at the historic Asilomar Conference Grounds founded in 1913, it has been praised as the most prestigious and best attended architectural design conference in the United States.
