This year we thought we’d start the conference early with a series of interviews featuring architects who are conference speakers, organizers, previous participants and other guests. We’ll solicit questions for upcoming interviews through Facebook and Twitter.
Just before we launched, Brooks + Scarpa, received 2011 COTE awards for two projects, Cherokee Studios, a 32,000-square-foot mixed-use housing project and Step Up on Fifth, a 31,600-square-foot mixed-use building that includes 46 apartments for mentally disabled residents. So we began with our pre-conference design discussion with him.
